The Association of College English Teachers of Alabama invites you to the Conference on the Sympathetic Imagination: Literature, Film, and Writing of Sympathy and Empathy co-sponsored by ACETA and Troy University. This will be ACETA’s 70th Annual Conference and will be held February 23-24 at Troy University in Troy.
The attached conference registration form includes registration and meal costs. Please send in your registration form and payment no later than February 20th. If you wish to preregister and pay at the conference, you may do so by simply emailing your registration form. Right now we can accept only cash or check as payment.
If you will be staying in Troy, our hosts recommend either the Hampton Inn (334-807-5900) or the Courtyard by Marriott (334-566-0540). To receive a reduced rate, you will need to call to reserve your room and mention that you are attending a conference at and hosted by Troy University. There is a softball tournament being held at Troy that weekend, so reservations will likely be at a premium.
