New poetry collection from Calhoun CC professor

Untitled-1 copy

Dr. Harry Moore, professor emeritus of English at Calhoun Community College and friend of ACETA, recently published his collection of poems, Bearing the Farm Away.  Dr. Moore describes the collection as “forty-three poems probing, in various ways, growing up on a rented farm in southern Tallapoosa County after World War II.”

The collection contains seventeen of his poems appearing in chapbooks along with twenty-six new poems. ACETA members may remember Dr. Moore sharing some of his work with us at the 2014 ACETA Conference at Gadsden State Community. Bearing the Farm Away was published by Kelsay Books in April.
